Section 4: Optional talks/surgeries
The writing retreat will mainly provide participants with dedicated space for writingaway from distractions associated with the daily working environment. However, there will also be opportunities to speak to and hear from experts that may be able to assist with an aspect of your project or writing practices. Embracing procrastination
Procrastination is a valuable part of the writing process. Timed activities allow your unconscious to keep working whilst you’re enjoying some escapism. / Chill out space / ☐
‘Turbo charged Shut up and write’ room
Using the Pomodore technique of portioning time and tasks. Timed cycles of 25 minutes of writing and a 5 minute break. Ideal for those struggling to stay motivated, or have a specific section/task to complete, work well to deadlines, or for editing/planning / Separate writing room / ☐
