Keeping our systems, technology and employees safe is a key priority for ViaSat.You are resolute in your determination to implement and adhere to ViaSat’s Security Program which includes all aspects of Comsec, Information, Administrative, Physical and Personnel Security. As a security professional you have a broad range of responsibilities and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers as well as government agencies. You will assume the roles of ACSSO/ACPSO for SAP and SCI activities. We’ll count on you to ensure strict compliance withgovernment, customer and company security policies and procedures including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), NISPOM Supplement, Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID’s), Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN’s), ICD’s, Program Security Directives/Guides contractually imposed by customers and the ViaSat Corporate Standard Practice Procedures (SPP). In this role, you’ll have oversight of SAP & SCI activities to support development, review, and maintenance of program security documentation. You will administer and coordinate applicable aspects of security activities in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal security regulations, directives, and manuals for safeguarding National Security Information. Projects in security include: drafting, obtaining CSA approval and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans, Reviewing and interpreting Security Classification Guides and Program Protection Plans, Performing and overseeing program duties (document control, records maintenance, visitor control, etc.), analyzing and investigating security issues, and setting up Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF)
Requirements:
- 8+ of professional classified security experience in a corporate or government environment; DoD, or other industrial security program, and in-depth knowledge of the DoD or other government security regulatory manuals.
- Understanding of the NISP, NISPOM, NISPOM SUP, JAFAN, DCID’s and ICD’s and a thorough knowledge of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding National Security Information
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- US Citizenship with Top Secret Clearance
Preferences:
- Completion of CSSO or CPSO training courses
