Soccer and kemari

Soccer is played in many worlds. The point that I’m going to prove is soccer and kemari. Then comparing them to each other like how they are different from each other and how they are similar. Soccer became the planet’s dominant sport in 1950’s. No one really knows where it started. Then came along a similar game or sport called kemari which is played in China and Japan.

Kemari

Kemari has 12 or less people. The player had to keep the ball from touching the floor by juggling it with their feet and collectively passing it from one to another. The playing field used for kemari was called kikutsubo. When kicking the ball up, a player would say “ariyaa” (here we go) or “ari” (here) when passing it over to someone else. The aristocrats would grow trees in specific areas in the gardens so as to have permanent pitch. The four trees used to mark out the pitch were normally a cherry tree, a maple, a willow and a pine. Kick the ball many as possible without touching the floor. You can’t use your hand the only body parts that you’re allowed to use are feet, chest, and knees. In kemari there is no tackling or vying the ball. Many hundred of year’s later Japanese players styled an outfit to wear when playing kemari and the game was incredibly popular between the 10th and the 16th centuries. Kemari is not really a sport. The ball is made of deerskin-covered ball stuffed with sawdust. The Kemari is only played in China and Japan.

Soccer

Many different cultures have played a sport similar to the modern game of soccer but no one can really say with any certainty when or where soccer began. There are eleven players in soccer. The oldest soccer ball was built in 1855 by Charles Goodyear. Made of vulcanized rubber panels glued at the seams. Panels are shaped similar to today’s basketball. Soccer began to spread throughout the world in the late 1800’s. By 1900 associations had been established in many countries. In soccer you have to try to score a goal in the other goal post. The World Cup is held in different countries.

Kemari and Soccer are almost alike. They have some same and different rules. They are really fun to play. But they both have rules that you need to follow.
