Brief description of the project:

MetLife’s individual life insurance products and services comprise term life insurance and several types of permanent life insurance, including whole life, universal life and variable universal life. The company also offers group life insurance, provided through employers, which consists of term life, group variable universal life and group universal life. MetLife is the largest life insurer in the United States, based on life insurance in-force.

Responsible for:

  • Trouble shooting the issues related to MQ
  • Working on infrastructure set up like, creating Execution Groups and setting up the ports
  • Deploying the .bar files across all the environments(Dev, INT, QA, Prod) and troubleshooting the issues regarding the deployment based on the bip code
  • Monitoring the QMGRs via Appwatch and taking necessary action on Queue full, DLQ messages, QMGR down issues accordingly
  • Handling AHS, Frame maintenance activities according to the action plan
  • Handling weekend activities like Prod MQ object creation and promotion in MQ, .bar file deployments and creating Brokers, EGs and Setting up the ports in WMB
  • Hands on WAS architecture, handling WAS deployments
  • Working on INC, Task and Work Orders coming into our pool
  • Providing RCA for problem tickets
  • Handling WTX Deployments and Path Creation.
