SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Officer 01-03 are eligible to apply (IAW NGR 600-25 AND AFI 36-101, grade inversion within the full-time workforce is not permitted. Military grade of the supervisor must equal/exceed grade of personnel supervised).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as a personal assistant to The Adjutant General and the Assistant Adjutants General. Serves as the primary planner and executor of all administrative support to The Adjutant General and JFHQ Command Group. Supervise other personal staff which supports the JFHQ Command Group (secretaries, assistant aides, enlisted aides, and drivers). Plan and supervise conferences chaired by The Adjutant General, Assistant Adjutants General and Chief of Staff. Helps prepare and organize schedules, activities, and calendars. Prepares and executes trip itineraries involving the JFHQ Command Group. Coordinates with higher headquarters and other military installations for staff visits. Ensures arrangements are made for staff visits to include, but not limited to, air and or ground transportation, billeting and staff appointments. Coordinates protocol activities. Direct preparation of, and monitor execution of itineraries for distinguished visitors to the headquarters. Monitor planning, preparation, arrangement and conduct for official social functions and ceremonies involving The Adjutant General, Assistant Adjutants General and Chief of Staff. Accomplish tasks that aid The Adjutant General and Assistant Adjutants General in the performance of his/her military and official responsibilities, including performing errands for the officers and providing administrative assistance. Act as informal point of contact for the LNOs. Act as a special project officer when designated by the CoS or TAG. Identifies and initiates new projects as required to manage and oversee programs. Maintain personal Deployablity. Perform other duties as assigned.
WHO MAY APPLY: For Merit Announcements, eligibility is limited to personnel currently in the Minnesota Army National Guard who are serving Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) tours. Current AGRs must have a minimum of 18 months in the program to be eligible for reassignment.
