A & D Environmental Driver Named The Fleet Management Solutions Driver of the Year by Ryder for the SC Market
In our previous edition we recognized Mitch Atkinson for being named “Driver of The Month Award for the Carolinas” by Ryder Truck Leasing. Mitch was chosen as The Fleet Management Solutions Driver of the Year,South Carolina marketfor Ryder . Mitch was nominated by Jerry Cobb, Safety & Loss Prevention Manager for the Carolinas Business Unit. The Business Unit is managed under the leadership of Dwight Lippy, Director of Operations, and Rick Galvin, Senior Vice President of Operations for the Southeast Region. The A&D Environmental Services’ account is managed under the leadership of Jimmy Hardy, Customer Development Manager; Delores Lail, Vice President of Sales for the FMS Southeast Region; John Andries, Director National Accounts, William Toerpe, Vice President, National Sales; and John Gleason, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Fleet Management Solutions.

Practice Makes Perfect!!
A&D kicked off 2014 with a new motto that simply summarizes our safety goal… No Accidents.
To reach that goal, we know we need to practice safety every day. To that end, A&D has reviewed, updated and added to our existing safety policies and procedures. We have completed thousands of hours of safety training.
We’ve standardized and upgraded health and safety equipment across the company.
And now we think it’s time for some R&R. Our Near Miss program is alive and well and is our mechanism to Report & Resolve (R&R) situations we encounter every day, BEFORE they result in an incident. Our Near Miss Reporting program is gaining traction and is showing our employees and our customers that a little R&R can have many positive benefits.
