Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele Utah

SCCA Sanction #10-R-1232-S/10-R-1233-S/10-N-1234-S/10-N-1235-S Pilot Test

Held under the 2010 General Competition Rules.

RACE HEADQUARTERS: Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele Utah ENTRY DEADLINE: Midnight, August 8th, 2010.

RACE DIRECTION FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, EAST TRACK

Welcome to the Great Salt Race 2010!

As one of the race chairs for this weekend I’d like to thank you for coming out to share our track, our hospitality, and our competition. This weekend marks the first time the SCCA will run on the East Track, so fasten your harnesses, put on your gloves, and get ready for a fun filled weekend of track records being broken right and left.

The most exciting part of this weekend is that it’s the first event ever to be held as part of a new pilot program that will test combined simultaneous regional and national racing. This means that regional and national drivers and cars will be racing together, wheel to wheel, on the same track at the same time. Please take some extra time to read through Appendix A. which covers the combined event, and make sure you understand how it differs from a typical regional or national race. We also ask for your patience and understanding if as we get into the weekend there are some changes that come up. This is the first time we’re trying this, and a few things might not work right the first time.

Below you’ll find a list of the event officials as well as a schedule of the weekend. I’d personally like to thank the listed chiefs for their assistance in putting on this event. They all have years of experience within the club and this event would be impossible without them! I’d also like to thank the rest of the workers for volunteering to put on an exciting race weekend. This event would be impossible without their continued dedication to Sports Car Racing.

Please join us Saturday night for the party in the paddock, we’ll be grilling, sharing stories (both real and imaginary), and mostly just enjoying the company of other drivers, volunteers, crew and family.

Have a fun, fast, and safe weekend, and thanks again for sharing our event with us!
