You will create a CD cover for a new ROCK band. This project will be a way to demonstrate your understanding of the rock cycle and your creativity.

Directions: This project has 4 components:

1.  Front Cover
a.  Band ROCK name- Choose one of the three rock types and write a creative name related to the rock type
b.  Album Title
c.  Album Picture / 2.  Back Cover
a.  Song List with rock types, names, descriptions, process words included
b.  Rock names for band members (Keep it within the theme of your chosen rock type)
c.  Copyright Information (Name, Period)
3.  Inside Front Cover – Band Biography
a.  Story of how your band members formed into your band
b.  Involves Rock Cycle and process words (exp. Weathering and erosion, etc.)
c.  Discusses how band members changed from one type to another / 4.  Inside Back Cover - Diagram of rock cycle
a.  Complete cycle diagram with labels, arrows, process words etc.
