1995 / Ph.D. in Highway Engineering. The thesis is titled “Evaluation of Bearing Capacity of Bituminous Pavements”, Karlsruhe University.

Fields:
·  Pavement Maintenance Management: Evaluation of Highways in different districts using modern monitoring equipment (Falling Weight Deflectometer, High-Speed Road Monitor; etc..). This was a joint project between Karlsruhe University and the Ministry of Transportation (Bonn, Germany).
·  Pavement and Materials: Design and construction of a Test Road using the slag as artificial aggregates. This was a joint project between Karlsruhe University (Karlsruhe, Germany) and the Badische Stahlenwerke Company (Kehl, Germany).
·  Winter Service: Investigation of Cycling Tracks to improve service conditions and durability. This project was carried out in several cities in Germany as joint projects between Karlsruhe University and municipalities in Germany.
