Criteria for Selecting Respondents
We have established a set of criteria to help you identify the most appropriate people to ask for feedback so that you get the most benefit from the assessment. We recommend you choose respondents from your most recent employer, assuming you worked there for at least six months.
Please consider the following as you think about your respondents:
A. Manager or supervisor familiar with your work and who you believe can fairly assess your work performance. You may choose up to two managers or supervisors for feedback.
B. Peers with whom you worked with for at least six months. We require feedback from three peers to ensure confidentiality and recommend that you ask a minimum of five peers so that you will receive enough ratings to report the feedback.
The following only applies to students who have had management or supervisory positions:
Direct reports or subordinates are those you managed or supervised for at least six months. We require a minimum of three direct reports to ensure confidentiality and recommend that you ask a minimum of five direct reports.
In addition, please review the following:
· You will obtain the most valuable information from people who are familiar with multi-raterassessments and who value providing feedback. Please let them know you are requesting their feedback as soon as possible.
· We recommend that you choose respondents from your recent employer but this may not be possible in all cases. Additional respondents may come from an employer prior to your most recent company, that you worked with for at least six months and within the past 1.5 years.
Your individual data belongs to you and will be kept confidential unless you choose to share it, as part of your self-development. Future research may be conducted using the aggregate data, but when (if) this occurs, no individual identifying information will be included in the research.
