IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CAMPERVAN/CARAVAN TICKET HOLDERS

Please read on to make your visit to Bella 2017 safe and enjoyable

ARRIVAL DIRECTIONS

·  HELP US TO DIRECT YOU to your parking area as quickly as possible. Place your blue pass on your dashboard - if you don’t have one, you can print it at http://www.skiddle.com/festivals/belladrum/ - or hang your blue hanger on your rear view mirror before you arrive at the festival.

·  ARRIVE EARLY! Box offices and campsites are open from 0800 on Thursday 3rd August and arenas open at 1200. Depending on the weather, the worst queues can begin at 1500 and continue until 2000. You can check traffic flows before you leave by entering ‘Beauly Traffic’ into the search box on Google Maps. Please arrive as early as possible. Late arrival may mean you miss out on the Thursday programme if roads are congested.

·  WHERE TO GO WHEN YOU REACH BELLA: ALL CAMPERVAN/CARAVAN pass holders INCLUDING VW CAMPERVAN PASS HOLDERS and including all electrical hook-up pass holders turn off the main road (A833) into Belladrum and follow the internal signage. VW Campervan pass holders – your route has changed since last year because your area will be located adjacent to the main campervan/caravan area. Please follow the signage.

·  HAVE YOUR CAMPERVAN/CARAVAN TICKET (& HOOK-UP IF APPLICABLE) HANDY. When you arrive at the camping field, our staff will check your tickets. Please tell them if you would prefer the quiet, family or general zone and they will direct you to a pitch

·  GROUPS: If you want to park together in a group of vehicles, you must arrive together. We are unable to reserve spaces.

·  YOU MAY NEED A TOW: Although we have built access roads, parking is on grass. If ground conditions are wet please have your towing eye operational or to hand before you arrive in case you need to be towed in.

WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR PITCH

·  FOLLOW THE 3 METRE SAFETY RULE: On arrival at your pitch you will be shown its limits. We have increased the size of pitch to 10 x 7m but you must work with your neighbours to allow a minimum of 3m exclusion zone between any vehicle or structure on adjoining pitches. See below diagram on how to appropriately set up your pitch to ensure a fire gap between yourself and your neighbours. Remember our staff are here to help you so please ask if you have a question

·  NO SLEEPING TENTS WILL BE ALLOWED beside camper vans or caravans this year. Although the no tents rule has always been place, we have been flexible in enforcing it. However, due to new health and safety regulations regarding the distance between structures, tents will not be allowed under any circumstances. Awnings and gazebos will be allowed but there must be a space of 3m between any vehicle or structure on adjoining pitches.

·  GET YOUR WRISTBANDS: When you have parked up, we recommend you go immediately to the box office and exchange your event tickets for wristbands. Leaving it until just before an act you want to see may result in disappointment due to box office queues.

DROP & LEAVE

·  IF YOU LEAVE, YOU MAY HAVE TO PARK ELSEWHERE: If you intend to drop your caravan and take your car or campervan away from the festival, please be aware that you may not be able to park it again on your pitch in the caravan/campervan field. Readmission to there will depend on traffic and ground conditions. Please ensure you have everybody and everything with you before you remove your vehicle as once you have done so you may have to park in the external car parks and carry any items you bring with you to your campsite. Also, make sure you have your wristband/s before you leave. Sleeping in tents or vehicles in general parking areas is not allowed.

·  NO READMISSION AFTER MIDNIGHT: After midnight there is no readmission to campsites for vehicles or people from outside the festival arenas until 0800 the following morning

·  No campervan/caravan parking is allowed outside the campervan/caravan camping areas and no drop offs are allowed anywhere other than in the designated drop off area at the red car park.

VW CAMPERVAN SITE

·  The VW Campervan site has moved to a self-contained area adjacent to the main campervan/caravan area this year. Please follow direction signs

VISITORS

·  People from other campsites are able to visit you (except through arenas between 0200 and 0900)

WATER & WASTE

·  You can replenish water supplies from taps in your camping area

·  Tanks are provided for waste emptying. Please do not empty into the burn.

STUFF WE CAN’T ACCEPT

·  Sleeping tents on pitches, glass outside or campervan/caravan, animals, fireworks, loud music after midnight, any music in the quiet area, bicycles or motorbikes, and generators.

·  NO PETROL OR DIESEL GENERTORS may be used. Operating generators will be impounded for the period of the event. If you need power, you must purchase an electrical hook-up ticket

LEAVING THE EVENT

·  The busiest times for leaving are on the Sunday morning from around 0900 onwards. If you want to avoid the queues, please leave at another time.

AND PLEASE …

·  GAS: Be careful when you’re cooking with gas. Gas cookers inside camper vans and caravans should be safety tested and gas cylinders kept outside the van, which should contain a fully charged water or dry power fire extinguisher.

·  RESPECT YOUR CAMPING NEIGHBOURS – don’t make excessive noise or play music after midnight

·  DON’T DRINK & DRIVE. If you’re worried at all that you may be over the limit, leave your vehicle and take a bus or a taxi and come back to collect your vehicle when you are safe to do so (vehicles left at owner’s own risk)

·  LOOK AFTER OUR FARM and take your rubbish away with you. Or at least bag it up and put it at a litter point.

TEAM BELLA WISH YOU A GREAT BELLA 2017!
