Résumé

12/1984 - present / Boeing Toronto Ltd. / Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Maintenance Department: Electronics/Electrician Engineer – Technical Advisor
I am employed with Toronto subsidiary of Boeing Company aerospace division (former McDonnell Douglas) as an electronics/electrician engineer and technical specialist since 1984.
The subsidiary’s production included complete airplane wings, fuselages, leading edges, frames and machined parts for DC10, MD11, MD90 and Boeing717 airplanes.
Employed in maintenance department for the whole period, my responsibility was to provide technical expertise to various departments of the plant with the main focus to production department coordinating and overseeing work of different skilled trades especially electronics/electricians and machine repairmen.
As a technical advisor I actively participated in the plant modernization:
- planning, refitting and refurnishing the old equipment and machinery
- planning, purchasing and installing new production lines, cooperating with machine builders, preparing cost estimates and time leads, receiving, testing and calibrating new machinery.
My key contribution recognized and highly prized by the company was to keep production lines busy with the minimum downtime caused by the machinery breakdowns. I succeeded in reducing the number of failures by suggesting, developing and implementing improvement plans, which later were recommended and copied across the organization.
My other responsibilities included preparing, scheduling and organizing preventive maintenance, preparing and writing technical guides, documentation and operational manuals; instructing the machine operators and maintenance staff.
As an electronics/electrician engineer my duties included providing the leading hand in problem solving and the troubleshooting of the production machinery such as:
·  manual and automatic drilling and riveting machines (Gemcor Drivematics),
·  Cincinnati Milacron ‘Gantry’ stringer milling machines
·  milling and routing small NC machines such as Mitsubishi, OKK, Mazak, Bridgeport, Cincinnati 5-axis
·  automatic tool grinding machines by Huffman Corp.
·  precision presetting machine ‘Microbore’ (Tooling System Division)
I have broad experience working with the various NC, DNC and PLC controllers including Allen-Bradley, Square D, Fanuc, Phillips Siemens, Vickers and others including electric motors variable speed controllers.
I am certified specialist for Allen Bradley’s AT 8000 controllers.
In 1990’s I developed the new method to monitor, troubleshoot and repair riveting machines (Gemcor Drivematics) used by McDonnell Douglas to make wings for MD80, MD90 and MD11 airplanes.
