IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

Baptism will be held today during the 10:45 a.m. service/Communion will be held today at both services.

Union Chapel Graduate Recognition: The Graduation Recognition service will be held on next Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Please contact the Church Office or Bro. Wilbert Brown for more information.

75th Church Anniversary: Plans are underway for the activities surrounding our 75th Diamond Anniversary celebration. The culminating activity will be our 75th Anniversary Service which will be held on Sunday, August 17th during the 7:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. We would like to send special invitations to family and friends to join us for this glorious celebration. If you have persons that you would like to receive a special invitation, please provide their name and complete mailing address on the sign-up sheet provided at the Welcome Center. You may contact Brother Wilbert Brown or the church office if you need additional information.

S.A.M. Ministry: The Senior Adult Ministry will have a picnic on June 24, 2008 at the Pavilion from 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. All Senior Adults are invited to attend the picnic and strongly encouraged to join this ministry if you are not currently participating. All ladies are asked to provide a covered dish, and men are asked to provide the meat for the grill. Contact Minister Walter Kelley, Sr. or Mother Betty Craighead for further information.

Unity Cruise: The Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church "Unity Cruise" has been scheduled for Spring Break March 16-21, 2009. Union Chapel Christian Academy is accepting applications for enrollment for grades K-5 through 8th grade,

for the 2008/2009 School year. Applications may be picked up in the Academy Office Monday

through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Meetings

In support ofPastor Davis' vision andtheme of "Unity" forour Church family, the Deacons will begin having Ward meetings on Saturday, June 21, 2008, and quarterly thereafter. Please mark your calendar and plan to attendyour assigned Ward meetingaccording to the firstinitial of your last name. The meetings will be held in the Fellowship Hall at the following times:

·  10:00 - 11:00 a.m. -- Ward 1 (A - I)

·  11:30 - 12:30 p.m. -- Ward 2 (J - R)

·  01:00 - 02:00 p.m. -- Ward 3 (S - Z)

Your support and cooperation is solicited and appreciated.

The Singles Ministry will meet Monday June 16, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Employment Opportunities:

The Child Development Center has an immediate opening for a Secretary. Interested persons may apply in the Church Office any week day between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Union Chapel has immediate openings in the Child Development Center for full-time and part-time Day Care Workers; interested persons may apply in the Church Office any weekday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at New Mt. Marriah Church, 3218 Alabama Highway 98, Lillian, Alabama 36549.
