-INSTRUCTIONS-The Complete Conductor: Orchestral Conducting for the Choral Director

Deadline: Applications will be accepted until all spaces are filled. Placements will be made on a first come first served basis upon receipt of a complete application.

STEP 1 – Gather your application materials

  1. Video – Video of you conducting in performance and/or rehearsal.
    A video is required for consideration at the Mentoring Conductor Level and encouraged for Associates and Auditors. Videos should be posted on YouTube, Vimeo, your web site or any other online video sharing service. Submit a link to each individual video. DVDs will be accepted by mail. Submissions by email or that require direct download from the internet cannot be accepted.
  2. Photo – Color headshot photo of yourself
  3. Bio – Current bio statement. May be a Word document or pasted into the body of an email.
  4. Deposit of $200.00 – By applying for this workshop, you understand and confirm that the deposit is not refundable. Deposits will be applied to your total registration fee. Should you not be accepted at any level or should DCINY cancel the workshop for any reason, all monies would become immediately refundable. Level placement is at the discretion of DCINY and is based upon the quality of application materials. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and pay by check options.

Step 2 – Request a Registration Level

A limited number of spaces are available. Upon acceptance you will be advised of your level placement, payment schedule and additional details concerning the residency weekend.

Mentoring Conductor –$1,200.00 USD per person

  • Participate in all group sessions and discussions
  • One private lesson, 40 minutes
  • Two podium sessions
  • All sessions and podium time video recorded
  • VIP Patron badge allowing entrance to all rehearsals for the weekend’s concerts
  • Ticket to attend the DCINY concerts during this weekend
  • Ticket to attend one post concert reception

Associate Conductor – $690.00 USD per person

  • Participate in all group sessions and discussions
  • One private lesson, 20 minutes
  • One podium session
  • VIP Patron badge allowing entrance to all rehearsals for the weekend’s concerts
  • Ticket to attend the DCINY concerts during this weekend
  • Ticket to attend one post concert reception

Auditor – $395.00 USD per person

  • Observe all sessions and participate in group discussions
  • VIP Patron badge allowing entrance to all rehearsals for the weekend’s concerts
  • Ticket to attend the DCINY concerts during this weekend
  • Ticket to attend one post concert reception
