Freedom of Information Act Request – Allotments Data

I write in response to your recent request for information in connection with your research on allotments.

As per your request I have provided data and costings below.

  1. How many allotments do you have in the borough now?
  2. We have 34 sites in the borough or 1,381 plots of various dimensions
  3. The number of sites has not changed over the past 5 years and there has been no significant change on plot numbers. We have bought approximately 12 unused plots back into usage.
  1. How much ground do these cover in acres?
  2. The current land space used for allotments is 39 Hectares
  3. The Hectareage has not changed within the past five years.
  1. What is your current waiting list for allotments ranging from thelongest to the shortest applications?
  2. With regard to the current waiting lists, I have given you two examples ie longest /shortest. This is the current value, historic data is not available.

Woodlands allotments (Pinner) as to date just over 4 years as this person has requested a preferred plot.

Roxeth allotments (South Harrow) plots are available immediately.

  1. How much money do you receive/make from allotments per year?
  2. We receive an average of £22,300 pa income
  1. Please provide records for the last 5 years (if 5 years is not

available, records for 3 years please) for all of these statistics.

  • 2006/2007 £21,325.35
  • 2007/2008 £22.972, 43
  • 2008/2009 £22,744,04
  • 2009.2010 £29,818.32 (subject to debtor ratification)
