2.1 Write an argumentative essay of 400 – 450 words. ( 50 Marks)
2.2 Intensively read the topic. Do research to find substantiating facts. Use quotes and reference the source. You may not copy from the internet. Use a dictionary to look up the meanings of the words, show your understanding.
2.3 Draw a mind map ( indicating the various paragraphs , at least seven paragraphs are required)
2.4 Write a rough draft ( indicate introduction, body and conclusion)
Indicate the topic sentences.
2.5 Write the final essay. ( indicate as final essay)
TOPIC:
“A great leader is led by followers. Leaders are not just born to the role. They are born, then made – and sometimes unmade – by their own actions. A leader who is not in tune with the followership soon becomes a leader in limbo and, sooner rather than later, withers. Nelson Mandela never fell into limbo as a leader.” (Reuel Khoza Sunday Times 15 December 2014)
Write an essay and explain whether you agree or disagree with this statement. Specifically refer to the leadership of Nelson Mandela.
Use the pointers to write your essay:
