BETHLEHEM, PA---When Disney star and Hollywood Records recording artist Sabrina Carpenter returns home for a headlining concert at Musikfest on Aug. 12, she’ll not only delight thousands of enthusiastic fans, she also be giving back to the festival she attended nearly every summer as a child.

As part of her performance, the “On Purpose” singer and Girl Meets World star is partnering with ArtsQuest, the nonprofit that presents Musikfest, to offer a handful of student photographers the opportunity to photograph the first three songs of her concert from the media pit – only feet from the stage - as part of the festival’s unique PHOTOPASS program. All proceeds raised from the photography workshop will go to support Musikfest, the largest free music festival in the nation, with more than 500 free performances on 15 stages over 10 days. Participants can sign up for PHOTOPASS, which is limited to only six students, at

A native of the Lower Milford Township, located less than 30 minutes from the festival, Carpenter is best known for her role as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, a sequel to the 1993-2000 ABC series Boy Meets World.

While she’s achieved much success as an actress.music remains Sabrina Carpenter’s first love. She’s recently release her new single “On Purpose,” the follow-up to “Smoke and Fire,” and is currently putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album due this October. The multitalented singer/songwriter released her debut album,Eyes Wide Open in April 2015. The album, which has amassed over 33M streams combined on Spotify since its release, is a collection of uplifting, infectious and well-crafted pop songs, many of them co-written by Carpenter. The accompanying music videos for songs including “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying,” “Middle of Starting Over,” “We’ll Be The Stars” and “Eyes Wide Open” which won Best Anthem at the 2016 Radio Disney Music awards, have 85M combined views and counting.

Now in its fourth year, PHOTOPASS features the opportunity to learn about concert photography from professional concert photographers, including shooting photos at various stages on the Musikfest grounds.

During the Sabrina Carpenter workshop, students will work alongside veteran photographer Lisa Lake, who has photographed concerts for over 20 years for publications such as Rolling Stone, Guitar World, Hit Parader and The New York Times. All proceeds from PHOTOPASS go to support ArtsQuest’s Artist & Arts Education Funds, which help the nonprofit arts organization present the 500-plus free concerts at Musikfest annually, as well as a variety of arts and education programming for young people.
