2. Originator / Originator / Div. Rep. / Submit an agenda item request to the appropriate Division Chief or other Division representative for Pre-Board review.
3. Originator / Following Pre-Board approval, the aforementioned documents, in the order listed, are posted as one .pdf file (if the policy was amended as a result of comments received during the comment period, a second .pdf file is required that contains the executive summary and amended pages) to the Department’s network W drive and one paper copy(duplexed and stapled of each .pdf file) is provided to Ms. Harris. Please contact your Division Chief or appropriate Division representative if you have questions regarding posting to the network W drive.
You will receive direction, via email from Ms. Harris(prior to the Board meeting), regarding the filing of the policy
with the Secretary of State's Office.
Filings usually occur on the Friday following the Board meeting
A policy becomes effective 30 days from the date it is filed with theSecretary of State=s Office unless otherwise specified.
Original comments must be maintained for a period five years.
At the time of filing, the Secretary of State=s Office requires thatoriginal comments be submitted.
Further direction regarding the filing of comments will be provided via email from Ms. Harris.

It is the responsibility of the Originator to verify that the policy, as posted on the website, is correct.
