Lymm Dickensian Day 5km Santa Dash - Run Rules

The Promoter of the Lymm Dickensian Day 5km Santa Dash on 13 December 2014 is the Lymm Dickensian Day. The Run Organisers are Lymm Runners.

Before Run day, the Organisers can be contacted about any run-related matter on . end_of_the_skype_highlightingChris Lees, Captain of Lymm Runners will be acting as the Run Director on run day,Saturday 13 December 2014. The Run starts at1.30pmfrom Brookfield Road close to the canal bridge. The course will be clearly marked andmostly on closed roads and the Trans Pennine Trail.

  1. By submitting an entry to the Run, all Entrants confirm that they are aware of and agree to abide by these Rules.
  2. AnEntrant shall be at least 10 years old on the date of the Run, and any Entrant under the age of 18 on the day of the Run shall provide to the Organisers before the Run the express consent of a parent or guardian through the online entry form.
  3. All Entrants shall abide by the directions given by the Run Officials, and Run Marshals. AnEntrant who does not obey the Rules may be disqualified and at the discretion of the Run Organisers may be barred from future Runs they promote.
  4. All Entrants shall provide correct and legible information on the online entry form and each undertakes to update that information to the Run Organisers promptly until the day of the Run should their supplied information cease to be correct. The Run Organisers disclaim any liability for any action or inaction they make whilst acting on the basis of incorrect or illegible information supplied by anEntrant.
  5. All entrants fall into one of two categories: Adult entrant aged 15yrs upwards, Youth entrant between 10-14yrs old on race day.
  6. By completing the on-line entry form and the disclaimer therein, Entrants waive any and all rights and/or claims which they have, may have, or may hereafter accrue against the Race Promoter or Organisers for any and all damages or injuries and/or claims which may be sustained directly or indirectly arising out of their participation in the Run (including the application of emergency or medical services at the Event), except in the case that the Organiser or Promoter has been proved to be negligent in his duty of care towards the Entrant.
  1. All Entrants are responsible for fully filling in the medical details on the online entry form. All information provided by Entrants of a personal and/or medical nature is held in confidence by the Run Organisers solely for the purposes of organising the Run. However, if anEntrant should suffer an injury or a medical condition during the Run or whilst at Run Headquarters, consent is deemed to have been given by that Entrant for relevant personal and medical information to be provided to medical persons attending the Run, the Run Director and/or his nominee and to any person accompanying the Entrant to the Run.
  2. The entry by anEntrant is personal and not transferable by the Entrant to any other person.
  3. Any Entrant may withdraw his entry at any time through the on-line entry websiteThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Whilst on-line entry remains open, the entrance fee will be refunded less an administration fee. Once on-line entry has closed the entrance fee will not be refundable. An entry can be transferred to a named substitute at any time up to 10 December 2014, via the on-line entry website.
  4. No entries can be made on Run day.
  5. All Entrants shall collect their Santa costume in advance of Run Day or from Run Registration no later than 30 minutes before the Run start.All entrants will be allocated the appropriate sized suit according to their race entry category (adult or youth).
  6. All entrants MUST wear their allocated Santa Suit during the race. You may add tinsel and other decorations as long as it remains safe to yourself and other entrants.
  7. During any Run briefing, after being summoned to the start and during the Run itself, Entrants are not permitted to employ mobile phones, or wear headsets, ear pieces (excluding hearing aids) or any other apparatus or headgear that may impede their own ability to hear directions from the Run Officials or Marshals or to hear other Entrants, traffic or other road users.
  8. Entries are entered onto the entry list in order of their receipt and are provisional until payment has been made. On-line entry will be closed when 146 entries (96 Adults, 48 Youths) have been allocated.
  9. The Run Organisers reserve the right to alter the time or the date of the Run, if in the opinion and at the discretion of the Run Officials in consultation with the Run Promoter, it would not be safe to hold the Run at the scheduled time and date, for example due to but not limited to unsafe conditions underfoot. The Run Organisers will endeavour to warn Entrants promptly by email and by notice on if the Run is not being held at the scheduled date and time and will seek to arrange an alternative date, but if no alternative date can be arranged, further reserve the right to cancel the Run without refund of the entry fee.
  10. The Run Organisers reserve the right to alter the course on the day of the Run if, in the opinion and at the discretion of the Run Officials, it would not be safe to follow the specified route, even if by so doing, the length of the Run is no longer 5 kilometres.
  11. The Run Organisers reserve the right to impose a cut-off time of 60 minutes for completion of the Run and to decline entries from any Entrant who indicates that he or she would take longer than 60 minutes to complete the course.
