Civil War and Reconstruction: Project Chart
Technology Wild Card. Create a product using animation, video, digital graphic, or webpage design that covers an important person from the Civil War or Reconstruction. / Dress up as an important figure from the Civil War or Reconstruction and perform a speech telling who you are. / Write a seven paragraph biography about an important person from the war or Reconstruction.Create a newspaper front page using Publisher that highlights an important event from Reconstruction. / Make an illustrated timeline poster that shows the order of events in Reconstruction. / Write and perform a play about a Reconstruction event.
Create a PowerPoint on any Civil War Battle. / Write a song/poem about one of the battles from the Civil War. / Write seven paragraphs about a battle from the Civil War.
You or your group (max 3 people) are to choose any event/person from the Civil War or Reconstruction for your project. To complete your project you must choose three of the elements above that form a tic-tac-toe line (across, down, or diagonal). All three elements must be completed and turned in by Thursday, May 7th. The elements must be combined in creative ways! It is up to your group to decide how (poster board, booklet, etc…), but the presentation must be one presentation for all three elements.
The Final project when turned in must contain a one page typed, double spaced page that:
- Lists your selections
- Lists your group members
- Why you chose your topics based on your selections (i.e. specific person or event)
- How each individual in your group contributed to the project
- What your overall feelings on the project were
Be clear and concise! If you have questions, please ask me! You will be graded using the rubric on the back. Points are deducted for incomplete work and for not turning in the project page.Any type of plagiarism will result in an automatic zero! Effort must be apparent! Have fun!!
