- Student Honesty Policy (Due process and sanctions):After thorough deliberations SAC decided that at this time the policy appropriately addresses due process rights of students and faculty with regards to appeals of academic sanctions in cases of academic dishonesty. SAC thanks Brooks Reid for raising this issue and for taking the time to attend SAC meetings. SAC is still considering guidelines on disciplinary sanctions to improve their transparency.Faculty need to be educated better about academic misconduct issues, since that would encourage them to report more cases, and thus discourage repeat offenders.SAC will startvisiting department/college meetings to discuss issues of Academic Honesty.
