Bank Delen - SUPPORTING FINE ARTS 2008
Your assets deserve our expertise
Bank Delen confirms its cooperation with the Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium and, for the second time in a row, is pleased to act as partner and main sponsor of the 53rd Antique Dealers’ Fair.
In 2007, the 52nd Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium welcomed a record number of visitors. 35,320 art connoisseurs and art lovers (an increase of 18% over 2006) visited this event, once again underlining its highly prominent role in European fine arts. Indeed, all exhibitors were very satisfied, already signing up for 2008.
The Belgian Antique Dealers, whose President is Ms Grethe Zeberg, and Bank Delen share a common ambition: to achieve a high-quality Fair. And as if to illustrate the point, Bank Delen was awarded an honour by Euromoney during the Fair: Best Private Bank in Belgium in 2007.
Bank Delen also made its expertise available to the Fair. Every visitor is sure to remember the harmonious opening slogan of the 52nd Antique Dealers’ Fair: “Expertise, Experience and Excellence” - a clear link between Bank Delen, the Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium and the exhibitors.
In addition, the very attractive stand at which Bank Delen received its customers and journalists was greatly appreciated. This reception area, created by the Chintz Shop, which belongs to Bank Delen’s interior decorator Ms Christine Lemaître, accommodated collectors’ items such as a screen by Henri Van Straten and works by contemporaries such as Karel Maes, Victor Sevranckx, Wobbe Alkema and J.M. Hansen, of which a few are on permanent display in the Bank Delen’s registered office in Antwerp. As well as a massive desk by Jules Wabbes, which is entirely in keeping with the style of one part of Bank Delen’s reception area.
It therefore comes as no surprise that Bank Delen and the Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium wish to continue further down the same successful path.
Just like the exhibitors themselves, Bank Delen is carefully preparing its presence at and support for the 53rd Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium. The slogan which will this year emphasise the harmony between the partners is “Bank Delen, Supporting Fine Arts”. This underlines Bank Delen’s clear wish to support art and, by so doing, to maintain the cultural heritage for present and future generations.
The reception area of Bank Delen will this time make way for a lounge. Once again, design is in the skilled hands of the Chintz Shop. The works to be exhibited will originate from the art collections of Bank Delen itself and of Ackermans & van Haaren (AvH), which is not only a co-shareholder of Bank Delen but also a shareholder of the prestigious Tour & Taxis building in which the Fair is organised. On this occasion, AvH will exhibit 2 of its prestigious works by Jan Fabre at Bank Delen’s stand.
Bank Delen’s reception lounge can be found at the rear, next to the exclusive exhibition which the 53rd Antique Dealers’ Fair of Belgium will be offering its invited guests for the first time.
Bank Delen hereby warmly invites all journalists to exchange thoughts and ideas in the lounge on the enormous range that the Fair has to offer.
Bank Delen will be present at this Fair with all its departments. This will include the new partners who joined the Bank in 2007, together with the Brussels assets experts Capital & Finance Asset Management, with which it will merge at the end of 2007.
Both Bank Delen and Capital & Finance (Capfi) manage assets, mainly those of private customers.
