SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

1. The Peterborough Motor Club Ltd (PMC) will organise a Production Car Autotest on Sunday 4th June 2017 at Willowbrook Farm near Helpston, Peterborough. It is closed to club members only. It will be held under the general regulations (GRs) of the M.S.A. (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A), these Supplementary Regulations (SRs) and any other written instructions the promoting club may issue.

2. M.S.A. Permit Number ...... tba.

3. The Autotest is only open to fully paid up members of the PMC.

All competing drivers must be in possession of a PMC membership card , which may be required to be produced for inspection when signing on. Under-age drivers/passengers will be permitted in accordance with (GR) M16 & M17.

4. The Autotest will be held on a smooth grass field at Willow Brook Farm near Helpston, Peterborough PE6 7EL, map reference OS Map 142 - TF 118029. Please follow instructions for parking.

5. Starting time 11.00 am. Competitors must have been scrutineered and signed on at least 15 minutes before the start time.

6. Details of the tests will be handed out at signing-on. They will consist of a minimum of four tests, each repeated three times. Prior to each run 5 minutes will be made available for competitors to walk the course. Practice runs are prohibited. Competitors are responsible for presenting themselves at each test run as specified by the timekeeper. Note – each car must carry a front seat passenger during the test.

7. Each run will be timed using a hand held stop watch. Times will be rounded down to the nearest whole second. The signal to start will be given by hand by the timekeeper. Timing will commence as the front wheels cross the timing line, and stop when the front wheels cross the finish timing line. A penalty will be imposed if the leading wheels cross the 'STOP' or BAULK line.

8. Penalty marks for mistakes will be added to the time taken (in seconds) in accordance with the MSA scale (GR (M) Appendix 1 Table M.7) as follows:

(a) Each minute late in reporting to the start or restart. 5

(b) Not attempting or being ready to attempt a test when instructed to do so. 20*

(c) Not performing a test correctly, other than in (d) or (e) or not completing the test or making

a false start. 20*

(d) Striking any wall, barrier or marker or crossing the boundary of a test (per mistake) 5

(e) Failing to cross or stop at any line or specified position as required in a test (per mistake) 5

(f) Crossing the stop or baulk line after the finish timing line 20

(g) Every second (ignoring fractions) to complete the test 1

* Plus the lowest by any competitor in the class making an attempt correctly on that run.

The lowest two scores for each test will be counted. See also 21 below

9. Course markers may be less than 1m high.

10. There will be three classes:

1. Front wheel drive (FWD).

2. Rear wheel Drive (RWD).

3. All wheel drive (AWD).

A competitor may only be in one class. Competitors will be identified by class and number on their scorecard.

11. Cars must be roadworthy Production Cars to MoT standards. An MoT certificate and Tax are not required. Scrutineering will take place at 'signing-on'. Cabriolet/Sports Cars may run with the hood down unless the Passenger is aged between 12 & 16 years and they must be at least 135cm in height in accordance with (GR) M16.4.

12. Entries will not exceed 20 and will be accepted in order of receipt. Double drives, where the same car is driven by two different drivers, will be permitted if the Secretary is notified before the closing date, and the number of entries does not exceed 15. The minimum number of entries will be one.

13. Closing date for entries is Sunday 23rd April, one hour before the start. Entries should be made on the official entry form and given/sent to the Secretary of the meeting, or by email to <>. ENTRY FEE is £10.00 per competitor, payable on the day. Cheques payable to Peterborough Motor Club Ltd please. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded.

18. Competitors and/or passengers may be asked to assist as marshals.

19. A basic First Aid Kit will be on site.

20. There will be a break for lunch. Drinks and food will be available at the teashop at the venue.

21. The highest score for each competitor for each test will be discounted (subject to 3 runs). Tied scores will firstly be resolved by the 'furthest cleanest' principle and if the scores are still tied the longest car will take precedence.

22.Provisional Results will be announced on the day and protests must be made in accordance with (GR) D26. Results will become final 1 hour after the provisional results are issued, provided no protests are raised, or 1 hour after any protest has been resolved. Results will be published in 'Exhaust Notes', and on the PMC website.

23. AWARDS (competitors may only win one award):

Best performance of the Autotest - an award.

Best performance in each class - an award.

The Horrell Trophy will be presented for the best overall class results on all four 2017 rounds.
