March 29, 2011 – SITEOPS® Introduces Powerful NewSwept Path AnalysisModule
CHARLOTTE, NC – Today BLUERIDGE Analytics® unveiled the latest evolutionary development in its pioneering web-based software, SITEOPS®. Swept Path Analysis provides civil engineers, architects and land developersthe ability to realistically simulate vehicle movement, a task vital to the determination of site design feasibility.
Swept Path Analysisis now available asan add-onmodule that is fully integrated with SITEOPS, conceptual site design software that allows users to create and analyze multiple layouts, grading plans, and preliminary budgets more quickly and efficiently than other software currently available. For some land development designers, this module may allow them to replace their current turn template software while gaining the powerful conceptual site layout tools and optimization that SITEOPS provides.
“Swept Path Analysis, like other SITEOPS developments, was conceived in direct response to the needs of our customers,” says Mike Detwiler, President and CEO of BLUERIDGE Analytics, Inc. “The BLUERIDGE Analytics team continually sets itself apart with first-class responsiveness and customer service. All it took was for our development team to hear that clients were struggling without an integrated vehicle turn tool, and the new module was up and running in a matter of days.”
With this addition to the ever expanding SITEOPS suite, users can:
- Realistically simulate vehicle movements along a path.
- Draw multiple vehicle locations and wheel paths.
- View the swept path of vehicle movement.
- Create customized vehicles and share templates among users.
- Accommodate articulated vehicles (e.g. Semi-Truck, Articulated Bus, etc.)
Swept Path Analysisis preloaded with vehicle templates from AASHTO 2004 (USA), CALTRANS 2008 (USA), ILDOT (USA), TAC (CAN), AUSTROADS (AU) and NEW ZEALAND 2007 (NZ).SITEOPS can export to DWG, Land XML, and PDF formats that can be imported into other leading CAD design products.
“SITEOPS is an integral tool in our business development strategy,” says Scott Mayo, Senior Designer at McIntosh & Associates, and a founding member of the SITEOPS Beta team. “This technology adds realism to our designs, wows our clients with real-time capabilities, and saves money by determining feasibility during the early conceptual phase of a project. Now, with the addition of Swept Path Analysis, we are able to provide our clients with the confidence that a site layout dependent upon vehicle maneuvers will work in the real world.”
Until May 15, 2011, limited-time access to Swept Path Analysis will be included with the purchase of a SITEOPS subscription. Free Swept Path Analysis trial and demo information may be found at
