Research
Research Interests
§ Research scientific in INCDPAPM-ICPA Bucharest is represented by:
-Industrial organic chemical pollution of soil;
-Evaluation of soil quality from Romania and protection, conservation and amelioration measures establised;
-Levigation and translocation of pollutants from waste in plants;
-Recultivation of degradated land by social-economic activity;
-Efect of thermo-electric power station emisions and posibility of recultivation of ash waste;
-Valorification of zootechnic waste and sludge resulted from treatment station for increase of soil fertility.
§ Research activity in UPB, Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Inorganic Chemistry Department, in present Inorganic Chemistry, Phisical-Chemistry and Electrochemistry Department proceed in team created and developed by Prof.univ.dr.eng. Ligia STOICA (applied inorganic chemistry and separatology in aqueous systems by ion flotation, its variants and combinated methods). The studies in this complex and interdisciplinary domain together with experimental research started with Eng.D thessis (1995) by new collector reagents tested (alkylhydroxamic acids (AHA), usually used like analitical reagents) regarding them influence in aqueous media, interaction M-AH (M=Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cr(III)) and aspects regarding recovering depollution.
Another research approached in this domain lay at the basis of both CNCSIS grands, research projects and national projects (PN II) initiated and coordonated by Prof.univ.dr.eng. Ligia Stoica were financed like:
-depollution of aqueous systems with inorganic species and/or recovery of ionic species from monocomponent systems (cations Cu(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Fe(III), Cr(III, VI) and NH4+; anions F-, PO43-, NO3-, AsO43- and CrO42-);
-phisico-chemical characterization of some isolated species in studied separated processes for separation mechanism elucidation and usefull mode established;
The research works were used to produce some depollution technologies.
The scientific papers published in various ICI revues and/or presented at different International Congresses ar Symposiums were greatly appreciated and demanded by specialists from the same field.
Students scientific supervisor (student scientific communication, university degree design and dissertation).
