This position involved business development, direct sales, direct consulting and the delivery of IT services.

Managed the fresh pasta operation for Kraft General Foods (USA) during the national expansion and “turn-around” situation. Implemented a Total Quality and process based organization. Developed and implemented reengineering strategies and plans to substantially reduce product cost and increase outputs by 25%. Reduced fixed cost by 30%. Improved safety record by 750% and quality by 200%.

Led the corporate operation systems group serving forty plants in the U.S., Europe and Australia. Developed a “Total Quality Management” organization structure and a skills development program. Initiated several automation strategies and plans leading to improved quality and reduced costs. Served as a key member of the KGF Plant Systems Standards Committee that set hardware, software and implementation standards for KGF plants. Served on the “Hay” job evaluation committee for KUSA. Led the reengineering of the engineering process for all engineering functions. Executed a 100 million-dollar per year capital program for Kraft USA.

Gained valuable experience managing a German speaking organization in a European market and mastered significant German language skills. Participated in several European capacity and sourcing studies for coffee and powdered drink products as well as negotiated a “pay for skill” testing program with the German Works Council.

Developed a Computer Integrated Manufacturing strategy for the entire facility (five plants) and led the organization in the implementation of this multi- year plan.
