TROY, Mich.,Jan. 28, 2015 —To commemorate it’s 20th anniversary, The Quell Group pledged “20 Acts of Kindness” in a display of appreciation to the community it has called home since 1994. As the last acts of kindness were fulfilled before ringing in 2015, Quell had contributed more than $24,000 to local charities, organizations and families in need.

“In celebrating our 20th year as a leading Midwest branding firm, we wanted to reach out to the community and give back with our time, creativity and donations,”said Michael Niederquell, co-founder and CEO. “Giving back is something that resonates with our culture and team members, who rallied behind each act of kindness. We were humbled by the graciousness of the local charities and how they extended their heartfelt thanks.”

Since committing to the “20 Acts of Kindness” initiativefor2014, Quell made charitable donations, volunteered time at local organizations and offered expressions of thanks. It all began with providing meals for the different shifts of the Troy police and volunteer fire departments and sending 20 people to Cedar Point. The companypurchased supplies and assembled care packages of hard-to-find items for deployed troops through the Michigan Freedom Centerand participated in Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Ford Field.

“All it takes is one act of kindness to inspire others,” said Robin Lord, co-founder and COO. “These acts of kindness demonstrate that even small gestures can make a big difference to someone.”
