John Wicker

22/02/12

Dear Mr Wicker,

Re: Your request for the following information:

1.  A list of the models of the physical servers, storage devices, tape libraries, network switches and routers under support contracts.

2.  The cost and duration of said contracts, with start and end dates and service level associated with the equipment.

3.  The names of the suppliers of aforementioned support services.

4.  The name of the person/s in your organisation responsible for the maintenance support contracts.

Thank you for your information request dated 25/01/12.

After careful consideration to your request Eastbourne Homes Ltd (EHL) can confirm that it holds details of the information that you have requested.

Unfortunately, I am only able to respond in part by providing you with some of the information you are seeking. This is because EHL has determined some of the information you have requested to be exempt from disclosure.

Please find below the information which EHL considers it is able to disclose to you under the Freedom of Information Act (2000).

3.  EHL’s IT service is handled through Eastbourne Borough Council’s contract which is provided by Steria.

4.  The person at EHL who liaises with Eastbourne Borough Council and/or Steria is Sean Hallinan, ICT Manager.

After consultation with our ICT Manager, Sean Hallinan, EHL is not able to give you the rest of the information because it considers this information to be exempt from disclosure. I have set out the reasons for this decision below:

1.  Regarding the various devices (listed above), I have applied the exemption Section 41 – disclosure of the information would constitute an actionable breach of confidence. EHL has a managed IT service that is provided through a confidential Service Level Agreement with Eastbourne Borough Council who use a third party to maintain and provide these services. This also includes all infrastructure devices related to the said contract. Therefore we are unable to provide you with the requested information.

2.  Section 41 (as above) applies.

All applicants have a 'right of appeal'. If you feel that Eastbourne Homes Ltd has not responded appropriately to your request, please forward any correspondence to the address below detailing your reasons for appealing.
