PASTORAL COUNCIL MINUTES
January 5, 2011
Members present: Fr. John, Deacon Jim, Mary Alice Kramer, Clare McCulla, Eva Higgins, Cindy Livingston, Mary Padgett, Lynette Drake, Charmaine Owens, Chris Beckman Unable to attend: John Schmitz, , Matthew Mittelstaedt, Chris Bough, Jim Grant
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
Opening prayer was lead by Father John. He also shared a Faith Reflection.
Fr. John’s Report
- He attended a meeting in Springfield with the Bishop – discussing the Safe Environment Program. In the future it may encompass more ministries at church.
- The Squires group has taken on the task of helping with the Angel Food Ministry each month. They are also helping with snow removal. They are planning a trip to visit the seminary.
Charmaine’s Report
- Cross International – No Room At the Inn – was a success.
- The Ministry Fair will be January 15th & 16th after mass. Mary Padgett will be at table after 5 pm and Chris Beckman & Matthew will be at table after 8:30 mass. We will need 2 new members and talked of having student representatives again.
- Totus Tuus – will be July 16 – 23rd. This will replace Bible School this year.
- Ladies Retreat will be February 12th.
- Teacher Appreciation Dinner will be February 23rd at the Charleston Country Club.
Old Business:
- Parish Festival Summer Start Up will be June 12, 2011. More information to come.
New Business
St. Hedwig House – Offer accepted – should be closing soon. Located at 227 Jackson Ave.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 2nd at 7pm. The opening faith reflection will be given by Charmaine.
