Meeting Highlights:

1.)Meeting Called to order:

The Club’s March Meeting was held at the Sparky’s in Whitney Point. It was called to order at 7:27pm by President Judi Whittaker.

2.)Secretary’s Report –Joel Munson – January’sMeeting minutes were passed around for review. (February Meeting was cancelled due to a snow storm)

  1. A motion was made to accept the meeting minutes by Scott Whittaker.
  2. It was seconded by Perry March.
  3. There was no discussion.
  4. The club voted on this motion, and it passed.

3.)Treasurer’s Report – Joel Munson -(General Fund, Building Fund, Groomer Fund)Joel Munson gave the following treasurer’s report:

  1. No motion was made to accept due to Eric Johnson’s information, presented at the September meeting, that the parliamentarian at the Forum stated that the minutes and treasurer’s reports didn’t need to have this done. The Club is taking this procedural change under review.
  2. No second
  3. There was no discussion. No vote.

Comments: Next Trail Grant income will be 30% checks from Broome,
Chenango, Cortland, and Tioga which should arrived in the
July to October timeframe.

Work has begun on getting the aprons poured for the groomer barn. Expense to be between $200 and $600.

4.)NYSSA Report – Judi Whittaker- same as last month, no update.

  1. Next Mtg – Forum
  2. Judi will not be able to continue in this roll. We are looking for someone to take on this position.
  3. Starting 1/1/2018, MINIMUM fine for having an unregistered sled is $250 and the judge cannot throw it out.
  4. The 2018 NYSSA forum will be held in Niagara Falls, NY from 4/20 -> 4/22/2018.

5.)CCSF Report – Eric Johnson

  1. Snoblast location – Planning for next year’s Snoblast will include a location that can be used no matter if there is snow or not.

6.)Upcoming Club Events Report

  1. Blizzard of Bucks will be held in late September
  2. Holdover item: It was suggested that we do a Hot Dog Roast as an event (Don David)

  5. The rock has been set at the groomer barn. Painting and Etching are on Hold.
  6. Marty Brown has e-mailed. Scott Freeman about Land Plan and is waiting on a response. No update

9. Trail Captains Reports – 16-17 Season

Trails issues: None at this time.

Stan Maslin is the new NYS DOT Contact.

All Trail Captains are asked to start work on a 2-year plan for their trails. What work needs to be done to maintain present trails, what needs to be done to improve trails, and what changes need to be made.

Marty is investigating having the Ridge Riders have their own grooming course

AI 13-02-03: Joel to work on getting records and consolidating equipment at grooming barn. - Perry has submitted Sure-trak Records no update

All hours worked have to be put in the state system within 60 days of occurrence. Otherwise, they will not be allowed.

IN GENERAL, make sure all work parties have the permission of the landowners.

Josh Braman brought up that several fire departments that are within our trail system don’t have trail maps of our system. Joel got 6 laminated maps and handed them off to Judi.
