Grid Requirements for Drop in Tile fixing option:
Existing grid may be repainted (enamel paint recommended) and used but it is the contractors responsibility to ensure it is able to support the weight of the tiles as well as the service load factors as prescribed in the AS2785. *
Refer to Supawood’s Technical Services Department for tile weights.
*What is required to achieve this will depend on the specific brand, system and configuration currently installed. Typically additional support would be expected to consist of additional hanger supports but the contractor is to take independent advice on this from the original supplier of the existing grid.
Panels are to be FSC or PEFC certified. Documentary evidence in the form of an invoice with each line item annotated with the PEFC/FSC content and supplier’s chain-of-custody number must be provided to the project superintendent for project completion.
Installation to be done by an approved ceiling and partition contractor.
