Pre-Bid Meeting / Walk-Thru: / A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday September 14,2017 at 3:pm at Westminster Village in the Main Conference room. The meeting will include a tour of all the areas included in the project scope, with an opportunity to measure the spaces following the pre-bid meeting.

Payment: /
Payment shall be monthly progress draws. Invoices must be submitted by the 23rd day of the month, for which services are being billed.10% retainage shall be held on each draw until the completion of the project.
*Owner agrees to make payment within 30 days of receipt of the 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 invoices.
Insurance: / The GC will provide proof of insurance that meets or exceeds ACTS’ minimum insurance requirements.

The contract will be awarded to the company providing the best value. Best value will be considered a combination of price and construction time. Please provide with your bid a tentative start and completion date for each component of the work using the attached bid form.

General Information and Bid Clarifications

1. / Dumpsters / Contractor is to provide the dumpsters(s) for the entire project.
2. / Storage Containers / Contractor is to provide storage containers for their materials for the duration of the project.
3. / Clean Up / Contractor is responsible for the daily clean-up of their work and that of the Subcontractors working for them.
4. / Installation Parameters / Contractor should anticipate that in the elevator lobbies and common areas where circulation must be maintained, they will need to replace by the end of each day whatever section(s) of carpet is removed. At no times, should areas of exposed concrete/adhesive be left overnight unless specifically directed by ACTS.
5. / Temporary Protection / Each Contractor / Subcontractor is responsible for protecting the Owner’s property including but not limited to walls, baseboard, trim, etc.

7. / Working Hours / Due to the nature of this project the work hours and weekend hours will be flexible to maximize the efficiency of the install and reduce the impact on the community. This will be discussed further at the pre-bid meeting. Daily working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 PM
8. / Contract Award / It is the intention of ACTS to award this contract within 20 days of bid due date, however contractors bids must be valid for 60 days. All terms of the contract agreement must be approved and signed by a corporate officer of ACTS. Failure to obtain that approval will void any agreements either written or verbal.
9, / Smoking and Tobacco use policy /
As of 9/1/15, ALL ACTS Communities are Tobacco Free Workplace communities, any and all Tobacco products are prohibited to be used in all and on all ACTS community Properties, including company or personal vehicles.
