Facilities The University of Louisville Ralph Wright Natatorium. This facility was opened in the Fall of 2005. The 41,000 square foot facility accommodates up to 800 spectators and athletes. The facility is equipped with a fully automatic Daktronics Timing System with touch pads and full 21ft x 12ft video board display. This meet will use 9 lanes in the competition pool with a depth of 7 feet. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with article 104.2.2C(4).
Parking Parking is available in the Floyd Street Parking Garage directly across the street from the Cardinal Park Soccer and Track Stadium and next to the Natatorium. The University of Louisville controls the parking facility and parking fees.
Admission
Spectators will be charged an admission fee of $5.00 for the meet. Heat Sheets will be provided as part of admission costs. Children 12 and under may enter free.
Format This is a timed finals meet. FINA starting procedures will be used. The FINA system, approved by USA Swimming, uses a series of whistles followed by a one whistle announcement for swimmers. The No Recall Start Rule will also be enforced during this meet. The use of “fly-over starts” will be at the discretion of the Meet Referee.
Rules Current USA Swimming & Kentucky Swimming rules will govern the meet. USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. Swimmers participating under the provisions of 202.6 or USA Swimming’s “open border” policy must be under the supervision of their coach or a USA Swimming member coach. Coaches who are entering swimmers but will not be at the meet should arrange ahead of time for another coach to supervise their athletes. Swimmers unaccompanied by their coaches or for whom arrangements have not been made must contact the Meet Director or Meet Referee who will assist the athlete in finding coach supervision and lane assignment during warm-ups.
Any USA SWIMMING swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms
Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designate areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.

Eligibility All current USA Swimming registered athletes. The age of the swimmer on January 26, 2014 will determine the age group for this meet.
Entry Limits Each swimmer may enter a maximum of four individual events plus two relay events.

Entries The USA Swimming registration number of all entrants must be listed and accompany the entry form. All entries must be in short course yards. Meet referee will accept or reject deck entries.

A hard copy of the electronic entries, payment in full of all fees/surcharges and the signed waiver must be received by 8:00 pm, Monday, January 20, 2014 or the team’s entry may be scratched.
Relay Cards Relay cards will be distributed to each team. Each relay team is responsible for delivering their completed relay card to scorer’s table 30 minutes after the start of each session. At this time the relay cards must clearly indicate, in the appropriate order, the four swimmers who will compete.
Clerk of Course Triton Swimming will provide clerk of course for all swimmers individual events only. We would appreciate it if each team would designate someone to organize their younger swimmers to expedite the meet.
Clerk of Course will not be used for relays.
Scoring and Awards
Scoring Scoring will be kept. Individual scoring will be 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 for 1st through 8th place, individual points shall be doubled for relays.
Awards Medals will be will be awarded for places 1st through 3rd, and ribbons 4th through 8th for all events including relays. Awards must be picked up at the conclusion of the meet. No awards will be mailed.
Warm-ups
Warm-Up Notes Teams will be assigned to lanes based on the number of entered swimmers. Smaller teams will need to share lanes. Larger teams should be prepared to divide the warm-up time and space according to need. Team warm-up assignments will be posted prior to warm-ups.
Safety Marshall Safety Marshals will be in place for warm-ups and during the meet to insure the safety of the swimmers. Duties will include safe deck practices, traffic flow, diving restrictions during warm-ups and designated warm down lane usage. First Aid supplies will be available from the head Safety Marshal.

Session 1 – Morning (9 and Under)
Warm –ups: 8:30 – 9:00
Meet begins: 9:15
Session 2 – Afternoon (10, 11 and 12 years old)
Warm-ups: Immediately after Session 1 and lasting 45 minutes. The Session
Will begin 1 hour after the start of warm-ups.
A “No Earlier Than” time will be provided after entries are received – currently estimated to be 1:15 p.m.
The Meet Referee will ensure that adequate rest time is provided between events.
Miscellaneous
Official’s Meeting There will be an official’s meeting 45 minutes prior to the start of swimming competition for each session.
Coaches Meeting A coaches’ meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to the start of competition.
Hospitality There will be a hospitality room open to coaches and officials throughout the meet.
