  • Improvement in student learning in Literacy and Numeracy focusing upon P- 10 utilising Reading Our Way and Early Literacy Foundation programs in conjunction with the Master Teacher action research project.
  • Improvement in teacher pedagogy to effectively utilise student data to inform differentiation in teaching and to accurately measure student learning outcomes.
  • Improvement for appropriate students’ communication skills in P-3.
  • Improvement in Upper Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary student outcomes through ASDAN program’s awards and resources, utilising flexible ways to accredit personal and social education, skills development and enrichment activities.

Our schoolstrategies are on track to meet or exceed our targets
/ During 2015, we have focused on maximising the benefits of this funding for our students. After reviewing our Great Results Guarantee agreement, it is clear that we are on track to meet or exceed our targeted student outcomes. We continue to implement our strategies to ensure that every student succeeds.
Strategies implemented include:
  • Implemented Master Teacher action research project focused on Four Blocks Writing Framework across five classes. Students achieved significant progress on Developmental Writing Scale. Increased teacher capacity in teaching writing. Increased resources available to support program implementation.
  • Built teacher capacity in implementation of Reading Our Way Program. School selected to create video clips for use on Reading Our Way website to showcase best practice.
  • Continued to embed and extend YuMi Deadly Maths program across the school. Four teachers participated in Queensland University of Technology project to build capacity and support program implementation. Increased resources available to support program implementation.
  • Identified and purchased Literacy tools to collect diagnostic data. Built teacher capacity in collection and analysis of data to inform planning, teaching and reporting on student progress.
  • Teachers collected evidence of student learning to identify appropriate Year Level in Individual Curriculum Plans and track progress towards achievement standards.
  • Pedagogical Coach built teacher capacity to support students’ communication needs. Consistent pedagogy and resources established in relation to communication. Purchased software and resources to support implementation. Diagnostic tools used to collect data on student communication.
  • Continued implementation of ASDAN programs in Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary. Increased resources available to support program implementation. Extendedrange of awards available to students.
