1. Printer Check

After you have successfully logged in to SVRIS, you should check to make sure you can print documents from the SVRIS application.

Users who are NOTlocated at non-Local Vital Records Offices:

  • There should not be issues with printer compatibility. If you experience problems, first contact your local IT support staff. If that person cannot assist you, you may want to contact the manufacturer of the printer to see if setting changes are needed. There could be a printer that is not compatible to print SVRIS documents. If that is the case, you should ask the following question: “Is the printer compatible with the Citrix Presentation Server version 4.5?” If the printer is not compatible, you will need to find a printer that is (if you want to print SVRIS documents from that workstation).

Local Vital Records Offices:

  • The printer used for issuing copies must be compatible with SVRIS, have duplex capability, and must be set up correctly. The following is a list of HP printers that are tested as being compatible with the duplex requirements of SVRIS.

  • LVROs will need workstations set up to send printing to either multiple printers or multiple drawers in one printer to make sure you can print certified copies of vital records (on security paper) and receipts and other documents that are not printed on security paper.
  • If you are not using one of the printers listed above for issuing certified copies, you will need to check with your IT staff to make sure the printer you have chosen is compatible with SVRIS. If your IT support person cannot assist you, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the printer. You should ask the following questions:
  1. Is the printer compatible with the Citrix Presentation Server version 4.5?
  2. Does it have duplex capabilities?
  3. Is it network-ready?

If your intended printer does not meet the three criteria listed above, you will need to

find one that does.
