Assigned to the Crime Scene Unit 7-11-91/Active Member of the International Association for Identification (circa 1994) /Full Member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts/Introduced innovations in crime scene evidence detection with collegues of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit (i.e. Sodium Rhodizonate used as a field reagent detecting the presence of gunshot residue on target substratum/Leuco-Crystal Violet used as reagent to develop and enhance partially patent blood print patterns). Liason-Person with the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner’s Forensic Biology Laboratory (Dr R. Shaler/ R. Ristenbatt).
Having tesified as an expert witness relative to Bloodstain Pattern Recognition, Crime Scene Analysis and Evidence Retrieval, I am a consumate student of newly developed methodologies in crime scene evidence search. Further, being charged with the responsibility of acclimating and training newly assigned Detectives to the Crime Scene Unit, I am also a member of the faculty of the Detective Bureau’s Advanced Training Unit, lecturing routinely at The Homicide Investigator’s Course (Crime Scene Analysis) and The Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator’s Course (Safeguarding a Sexual Assault Crime Scene)
