WHO IS THE TRAINER? Terry L Stover, M.S., LBP, CEAP, MAC, NCP will be the facilitator of the trainings. Terry is Manager of the CommunityCare Behavioral Health & Employee Assistance Program, and has 15 years of experience as a certified trainer of SASSI and other assessments.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Drug and alcohol treatment professionals, counselors, supervisors, directors, employee assistance professionals, private therapists, managed care, HMO’s, hospital administrators, nurses, criminal justice professionals, college and university staff, mental health professionals, social workers, state agency staff, dual diagnosis program staff and especially intake assessment professionals are among those who can benefit from the time and cost saving features SASSI offers.
WHAT IS COVERED IN THE TRAININGS? The basic training, Administration and Scoring (Level I) will introduce professionals, counselors and other health care professionals to the SASSI and basic administration and scoring of the measurement. The advance Clinical Interpretation training (Level II) will provide a more in-depth clinical view of the measure as a whole and clinical interpretation of the individual scales.
WHAT ABOUT CERTIFICATION AND LOCATIONS? If you have paid for the training, certificates will be issued to you the same day as the training. If not, your certificate will be mailed to you when payment is received. The Level I & II Workshops will be held on the same day. Training time of Level I is 8:30 a.m. until noon. Level II is from 1:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. It is offered at two sites – one in Tulsa (4720 S. Harvard), and one in Norman at NAIC Center for Oklahoma Alcohol & Drug Services, Inc. WHAT IS THE COST OF THE WORKSHOP? As of January 1998 the cost of the workshop is $75.00 for both Levels I and II or $45.00 for one individual level. Those participants seeking to take Levels I and II together preferably should be (currently) administering the SASSI.
IS THERE CEU’S OR PDH’S APPROVAL?
The full day workshop for CEU/PDH pre-approval has been applied for LBP’s, LPC’s, LMFT’s, PH.D’s and LSW’s.
