JobDescription:PrayerPastor
Purpose:
Toleadthelocalcongregationindevelopingaprayerministry.ThePrayerPastor'spurposeistoorganize,schedule,andprovidegeneralleadershipforthechurch'sprayeractivities.
Responsibilities:
- Giftedandiscalledtoprayerministry,lovespeople.
 - Teacher,withastrongbiblicalbackground,whoisinagreementwithFundamentalTruthsandStatementofFaithofour denomination.
 - Participateasneededorrequestedintheevaluationanddevelopmentoftheoverallchurch ministry.
 - Identifykeypeopleinthechurchwhoarewillingtoprayorserveintheleadershipofprayer ministryandenlisttheircommitment.'
 - Prayforthechurchleadership,churchservices,plans/programs.
 - Ensurethatprayerisencouraged,engaged,andintegratedintoeveryministryanddepartmentofthechurch.
 - Createaninformationnetworkthatkeepseveryoneinformedofprayerconcerns.
 - Contributetothedevelopmentofaneffectivelocalprayerchain.
 - Planandorganizespecialprayereventsforthechurch(i.e.,prayermeetings4thSunday evenings,NationalDayofPrayer,PrayerattheFlagPoleetc.).
 - Staycloselyconnectedtothedistrictanddenominationalprayerleadership.Designate,design,andpromoteaprayerroomforthechurch.
 - Serveasaliaisonbetweenone'slocalchurchandchurchescitywidetocreateandencouragecooperativeprayerefforts.
 
Qualifications:
- AuthenticrelationshipwithJesusChristasSaviorandLord.
 - OnewhoexhibitsapersonalandgrowingrelationshipwithGod,ateachablespirit,andahealthyfamilylife.
 - Loveandrespectforpeople.
 - Senseofhumorandpositiveattitude.
 - Strongteamplayerwiththerestofthestaffandcongregation.
 - Committedtothechurch'svision,leadership,andpeople.
 - Dependable,responsible,self-motivatedandcreative.
 - TheprayerleadershouldbecalledofGodasonedesiretopray.
 - Mustexhibitastrongpersonalprayerlifeinordertoleadwithauthority.Mustshowprovenspiritualmaturity.
 - Itishelpfulbutnotnecessaryiftheprayerleaderhastheabilitytoteach.

C.Staffmustbefaithfultoallchurchservicesfunctions.
D.Staff mustbeactiveinaltartimesforthemselvesandalsofor thepeopletheyhavechargeof.
E.Allstaffwillgenerallybeinvolvedinallchurchfunctions.
F.Eachstaffmembermustalwayshavethechurchatheartalwaysbean
openadvocateforthechurch.Neversmearingthenameofthechurchoritsleadership.
G.Faithful, intheirchurchattendancegiving.
H.Faithful,topreachteachthefullCounselofGod’sWord.
