Purpose:

Toleadthelocalcongregationindevelopingaprayerministry.ThePrayerPastor'spurposeistoorganize,schedule,andprovidegeneralleadershipforthechurch'sprayeractivities.

Responsibilities:

  • Giftedandiscalledtoprayerministry,lovespeople.
  • Teacher,withastrongbiblicalbackground,whoisinagreementwithFundamentalTruthsandStatementofFaithofour denomination.
  • Participateasneededorrequestedintheevaluationanddevelopmentoftheoverallchurch ministry.
  • Identifykeypeopleinthechurchwhoarewillingtoprayorserveintheleadershipofprayer ministryandenlisttheircommitment.'
  • Prayforthechurchleadership,churchservices,plans/programs.
  • Ensurethatprayerisencouraged,engaged,andintegratedintoeveryministryanddepartmentofthechurch.
  • Createaninformationnetworkthatkeepseveryoneinformedofprayerconcerns.
  • Contributetothedevelopmentofaneffectivelocalprayerchain.
  • Planandorganizespecialprayereventsforthechurch(i.e.,prayermeetings4thSunday evenings,NationalDayofPrayer,PrayerattheFlagPoleetc.).
  • Staycloselyconnectedtothedistrictanddenominationalprayerleadership.Designate,design,andpromoteaprayerroomforthechurch.
  • Serveasaliaisonbetweenone'slocalchurchandchurchescitywidetocreateandencouragecooperativeprayerefforts.

Qualifications:

  • AuthenticrelationshipwithJesusChristasSaviorandLord.
  • OnewhoexhibitsapersonalandgrowingrelationshipwithGod,ateachablespirit,andahealthyfamilylife.
  • Loveandrespectforpeople.
  • Senseofhumorandpositiveattitude.
  • Strongteamplayerwiththerestofthestaffandcongregation.
  • Committedtothechurch'svision,leadership,andpeople.
  • Dependable,responsible,self-motivatedandcreative.
  • TheprayerleadershouldbecalledofGodasonedesiretopray.
  • Mustexhibitastrongpersonalprayerlifeinordertoleadwithauthority.Mustshowprovenspiritualmaturity.
  • Itishelpfulbutnotnecessaryiftheprayerleaderhastheabilitytoteach.

B.Allstaffwillbecompletelyloyaltopastor.

C.Staffmustbefaithfultoallchurchservicesfunctions.

D.Staff mustbeactiveinaltartimesforthemselvesandalsofor thepeopletheyhavechargeof.

E.Allstaffwillgenerallybeinvolvedinallchurchfunctions.

F.Eachstaffmembermustalwayshavethechurchatheartalwaysbean

openadvocateforthechurch.Neversmearingthenameofthechurchoritsleadership.

G.Faithful, intheirchurchattendancegiving.

H.Faithful,topreachteachthefullCounselofGod’sWord.

I. Mustbefaithful,asGodsrole model.

J.Mustbefaithful,toupholdholystandards.
