This region promises impressive and interesting flights over the austrian alps; in all directions there are suitable landing areas and the pilots can go for long distance flights in all directions

Meteorological characteristics
(as expected for the period of the event) / Weather conditions: The month of january is mostly the best time for flying in the Alps. Usually the region Zell am See - Kaprun has stable weather conditions with very low temperatures and blue skies with fronts coming from the North to Northwest, which are going through very fast and promise good wind conditions in the height to go for long distances. The Salzach valley and the area around the Zeller lake allows in case of low windspeed in the height nice local flying conditions.
