Brief Overview of the
Position:
Working with: / To work with the DTSM to deliver Age UK Lancashire’s day time support strategy; ensuring a range of building based services, community support and support at home is available for older people across the County of Lancashire.
To actively manage the day time support teams, identifying training requirements and opportunities, staffing requirements and ensuring that evidence based operational standards and procedures are implemented across day time support services
The Day Time Support Steering Group, External Partners, DTS Co-ordinators and staff teams.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities: /
  1. To work with the DTSM and staff teams to develop and implement effective consultation and person centred support planning and delivery mechanisms with our customers and their carers /friends and family.
  2. To work with the DTSM to develop and implement effective monitoring and evaluation processes for the provision of day time support including qualitative measures as well as data collection and use of the AGE UKL CRM system.
  3. To ensure that staff working in day time support are managed effectively in line with our performance management systems and that any training and development needs are identified and addressed.
  4. To effectively manage and develop day time support resources including; catering, transport provision, the use of buildings and staffing to facilitate a safe and flexible response to individual support plans and needs; working with co-ordinators to implement district development plans
  5. To develop excellent working relationships with partners in public and VCFS sector agencies to enable identification of gaps in provision and opportunities for development of new support offers for older people.
  6. To be able to research, plan and implement evidence based practice
  7. To deputise for the DTSM as appropriate.

Delivery and Development Manager - Day Time Support.

Age UK Lancashire are currently working to a 4 year strategy to transform our traditional buildings based day care model to include a variety of community and home based options for people who require additional support to help them remain living independently at home.

To take this strategy forward we require a full time manager who will be responsible for the operational management of the Day Time Support Services currently offered and who will work alongside the Day Time Support Manager to implement the transformation strategy. The successful candidate will have experience of co-ordinating and delivering support to older people with complex needs, staff management experience and will be committed to the principles of personalisation, choice and control. The role will require innovative thinking and excellent people skills to enable Age UK Lancashire to develop new supports and services successfully.

Post Title:Development and Delivery Manager - Day Time Support

Location:County Wide Service; Based in East Division

Grade/Salary:SO 1 Pts 29 – 31 £24,646 to £26,276 pa

Hours of Work:35 hours per week

Travel Expenses:Travel expenses will be paid for all journeys required for work, excluding travel from home to base.The current rates are 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles per year and 25p per mile thereafter.
