Materials
· Worsted-weight yarn - 2 1/2 oz. lt. green, 2 oz. brown and small amount each dk. green, black, red, orange and yellow
· scrap red felt
· wicker hat with 2" head space
· 10 x 15-mm oblong wiggle eyes
· 10-mm round wiggle eyes
· polyester fiberfill
· craft glue or hot glue gun
· tapestry needle
· G crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge
4 sc = 1"; 4 sc rows = 1".

Log Cover
Bottom
Row 1: With brown, ch 19, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (18 sc).
Rows 2-52: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Matching sts, sew row 52 to row 1.
Top
Rnd 1: With black, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in first sc (6 sc).
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join (12).
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around, join (18).
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, (sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around, join (24).

Finishing
- Sew Face to head over rnds 5-9.
- Glue oblong wiggly eyes centered above Face 3/4" apart.
- From felt, cut tongue according to pattern piece. Glue end of Tongue to center of rnd 1 on Face.
- Glue hat to top of head.
Frog
Body Side (make 2)
Rnd 1: With dk. green, ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 6 chs, 3 sc in last ch; working on opposite side of ch, sc in next 6 chs, 2 sc in last ch, join with sl st in first sc (18 sc).
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in each of last 2 sts, join (24).
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first 9 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 11 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of last 2 sts, join, fasten off (26).
Hold Body Sides wrong sides together, matching sts; sew together through back lps only, stuffing before closing.
Eye (make 2)
With dk. green, ch 3, 3 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 1, sl st in same ch, fasten off leaving 8" end.
Sew edge of each Eye to rnd 2 on top of Body as shown in photo. Glue round wiggle eyes to crocheted eyes.
Back Leg (make 2)
With dk. green, ch 20, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across to last ch; for toes, (sc in last ch, ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each of next 2 chs) 3 times; working on opposite side of ch, sl st in each ch across, fasten off.
Front Leg (make 2)
With dk. green, ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across to last ch; for toes, (sc in last ch, ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each of next 2 chs) 3 times; working on opposite side of ch, sl st in each ch across, fasten off.
Sew Front and Back Legs to each side of Body according to Frog Leg Diagram.
Leaf (make 3 orange, 2 red and 1 yellow)
Ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, (hdc, dc) in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, (dc, hdc) in next ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) in last ch; working on opposite side of ch, (hdc, dc) in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, (dc, hdc) in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in same ch, fasten off.
Finishing
- Wrap Snake around bottom edge of Log Cover with head at top of Log as shown in photo; glue or tack to secure.
- Glue Frog to top of Log with 2 Legs dangling over edge as shown.
- Glue 2 orange, one yellow and one red leaf to Log below Frog as shown. Glue one red and one orange leaf to Log above end of Snake's tail.
