Chemistry Teaching Requirements (Grades 5-12)

University of Montana

For an endorsement in the major teaching field of Chemistry, a student must complete the requirements for the B.A. with a major in Chemistry, with appropriate electives, and with the addition of CHMY 485. A student also must complete STAT 216 (MATH 241), BIOL 380, EDU 497 and ENST 472 (see the Department of Chemistry and below). Individuals holding a baccalaureate degree must meet these requirements by completing the courses listed below or demonstrate course equivalency. The Chemistry Teaching major qualifies as a single field endorsement.
