1.0  Scope of Work

Work under this contract shall include the furnishing of all labor, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, supervision and necessary insurance to complete the “Joint Information Center Upgrade” for the Office of Emergency Management at 5320 North Shepherd Drive, Houston, Texas 77091. The services requested are as follows:

1.1  Install two (2) Mounted 48” LED 1080p Television monitors on full-motion wall mounts.

1.2  Install coaxial cable and power to LED monitors using existing wall plate connections

1.3  Install five (5) 32” LED 1080p monitors capable of receiving coaxial, PC (VGA), and HDMI Inputs, onto open rolling carts.

1.4  Design and install a powered HDTV Antenna with a 60-mile UHF and link the five 32” monitors with coaxial cables with quick-release connectors, which will allow all five to be connected to the antenna simultaneously in a way that minimizes the visibility of cables, but also allows the televisions to be operated independently from one another

1.5  Design and install an electrical power distribution system for the five televisions which minimizes the visibility of cables, but also allows the televisions to be operated independently of one another.

1.6  Install mounted equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s installation instructions and placement guidance from the Office of Emergency Management into the Houston Emergency Center.

1.7  All equipment must be installed in such a manner as to minimize the impact to other equipment and functions. Additionally, any installed items that are removed to facilitate installation of supplied materials will be returned to the Office of Emergency Management when the installation of all supplied items is complete. All equipment wiring will be installed in such a manner that it will be hidden from view as much as possible.

1.8  Program a universal remote control to be able to control all of the televisions installed on the wall and mounted to carts.

What

  1. Description of the Product: Two (2) 48” Mounted televisions and five (5) 32” televisions on carts to be used during emergency operations.
  2. Expected Outcome: Two televisions mounted to walls and connected to existing power and coaxial cable connections. Five televisions mounted to rolling carts that can be connected to an external antenna.

These items will be used to support emergency public information operations when the City activates the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and/or Joint Information Center (JIC)

o  Phase 3: Delivery of cart-mounted televisions (+21 days from award)
