FUNDRAISING REPORT FOR AGM – MONDAY 3RD JULY

Since the last AGM we have had a busy year of fundraising activity introducing some new initiatives into the fundraising calendar including a Clay Pigeon Shoot and Cricket Day which we plan to make annual events in our fundraising calendar. We held a successful comedy evening at Ditchley Park and are planning our second comedy fundraiser at The Theatre, Chipping Norton on Friday, 15th September with comedians, Miles Jupp and Mark Steel. We must thank our Ambassador, Graeme Garden for his help, support and of course comedy connections for making these entertaining events such a success. Graham was also instrumental in securing the attendance of Alison Moyet at a Concert at Merriscourt, Sarsdenwhich raised nearly £6000 for the charity. For details of all fundraisers planned for the rest of this year and for 2018 please visit our website and Facebook page which are updated regularly.

We have decided to relaunch the LHNT end of year newsletter which will be mailed out to everyone on our mailing list. Please sign up to our mailing list by visiting the home page of our website or completing a ‘Join our mailing list’ card here tonight to ensure you receive a copy when they are mailed early this autumn. The newsletter will acknowledge the support given by local businesses and individuals over the past year as well as showcasing past events, promoting forthcoming fundraisers and giving you a first look at this year’s Christmas Card designs.

Finally I would like to thank the continued support of our volunteers who not only attend our monthly fundraising support group meetings but who regularly give up their spare time to assist at fundraisers and of course bake dozens of cakes during the busy spring and summer months. I would also like to thank Monica for her tireless work collecting tins in and around Chipping Norton.

Thank you.
