The Awards

This awards program recognizes innovative and outstanding achievements in water efficiency throughout Florida.

Entry Guidelines

  • Each entry must be for a project or program implemented within the last three years which has not already won this award.
  • Submittal Requirements:

One entry form (this page) must be completed for each project or program. Print entry forms must be accompanied by a CD containing the following Electronic Documentation (may place multiple entries on one CD):

o  A short abstract (300 words or less, in Microsoft Word) describing the project or program and how it meets the evaluation criteria (see right column).

o  Three to ten images representative of the project or program, for possible publication or use in the awards presentation. Suggested format is JPEG.

o  Any other supporting information.

  • If your entry contains items that cannot be photographed or scanned for inclusion on the CD, mail them with the entry package.
  • Mail each completed entry form with the appropriate entry fee and supporting documentation.
  • For return of entry materials, include a stamped self-addressed envelope. Otherwise materials will not be returned.
  • Entries will be marked “incomplete” unless the Submittal Requirements are met. Incomplete entries will not be refunded
  • Entries are to be postmarked by Friday, September 15, 2017.

Evaluation Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on the following:

·  Defined goal and objective(s)

·  Identification and quantification of key result(s)

·  Description of any “lessons learned”

·  Future plans for results and “lessons learned”

·  Innovation within the field of water efficiency or the population served

Award Presentation

Agencies winning the top two awards (Best in Class and Show of Excellence) for each Award Category / Agency Profile will receive one complementary ticket to the awards luncheon at the FSAWWA Fall Conference (Orlando, November 29, 2017). Meritorious and Honorable Mention certificates will be mailed to recipients following the conference.
