Job Title / Quality Technician
Department Overview / The Validation group is responsible for creating and implementing Abbott’s validation program. The group creates and maintains validation documentation for new and existing systems and processes subject to design control.
Key Responsibilities / ·  Generation of validation documentation
·  Review and approval of documentation
·  Completing data verification
·  Meet training requirements
·  Updating Group Operational Excellence board
·  Assisting group members in completion of tasks
Job Skills / ·  NFQ level 7 degree in Mechanical, Quality, Biomedical, Process or Manufacturing Engineering or degree in Bio Medical Science or Quality Management & Technology
·  MS Outlook, Word, Excel, & Powerpoint proficient
·  Strong attention to detail in reviewing documentation
Physical Movements / ·  Predominantly seated
·  May be required to enter the manufacturing areas occasionally but not mandatory for the role
Equipment Used/ Protective Clothing Worn / ·  May need to gown up if entering manufacturing areas. Similar to section above entry to manufacturing areas is not mandatory for the role.
Physical Environment / ·  Based in office area
·  Mainly desk-based, sitting, using PC
·  Lifts available throughout facility
·  Large scale manufacturing plant – significant distances between office and manufacturing areas
Type of Workload Involved / ·  Tasks involving generation and review of documentation will require periods of concentration
·  Some tasks will be deadline driven
