Regular Meeting January 10,2017

The meeting called to order by President Matt Bannon at 6:00 PM Mountain Time.

Present: By roll call, Bob Zach “here”, Matt Bannon “here”, and Denise Snyder “here”, Tom Greco “here”, and 4 Citizens also present.

Minutes: Denise Snyder made a motion to accept November 15, 2016 Regular Meeting minutes, with a spelling correction on Llori Emerson’s name, as presented. Second by Bob Zach, approved all in favor. Denise Snyder motioned to approve the November 29,2016 Special Meeting. Second by Bob Zach. Approved all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report: Bob Zach presented a Resolution for Umpqua Bank. Bob Zach made a motion to approve and Denise Snyder seconded it was passed all in favor. Tom Greco can take this to Umpqua to become a signer on the account. This Resolution is enclosed with the meeting minutes. Bob Zach gave an overview of the financials, and read a statement by our Auditor praising the handling of our finances throughout the building process, raising almost 1 million dollars in the last 2 years and our achievement of completing the process debt free!

New Business: Llori Emerson gave a report on the Nordic Trail Ski Club. Financials are $1269.00 in the bank coming from signs, donations and ski passes. January 28, 2017 there is going to be a Women’s Event with massages, food and fun. Cost will be $25.00 per person.

February11,2017 Ski to the Moon Event is scheduled.

Manager Report: Tom Greco gave a gracious thank you to all involved in the Meet and Greet for Gail and himself. Tom presented his priorities for our facility:

1.Safety 2. Cleanliness: Dan Maintenance, Charlotte and Front Desk staff 3.Customer Service, all who enter here need to feel loved and cared for. 4.Always finding ways to add value to our facility and our community. 5.Accountabilty on all expenditures. Dome is a priority and our main focus is to gather information and do it right!

We are implementing a trial membership database program, Wild Apricot, and also bringing onboard a Square account for payment transactions and daily reports.

Tom is drafting a letter to thank donors for their support and contributions.

Upcoming meetings with: Patty Wold and Pal Satori to help identify strengths and weaknesses in our programs, Elt Hasbrouck and the County Commissioners, Shauna Arnold with Horizons, the City Mayor, and the Pickard’s.

Calendar Update: SVCRD Regular Monthly Meeting Tuesday February 14,2017 at 1:00 PM at the Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center.

Public Comment: Llori Emerson questioned the$16000.00 payment that was requested by the city. Bob and Matt explained that we signed the MOU and paid the City of Cascade $1000.00 for our portion.

There was a short discussion of forming an event for the Total Solar Eclipse on August 21,2017.

Meeting Adjourned: Having no other SVCRD business, Bob motioned to adjourn, Denise Snyder second, all in favor. Meeting adjourned 7:44 PM.
