FUNDRAISING AND MARKETING MANAGER

Part time: home based or at HQ

Starting salary: £30,000 pro rata (hours negotiable)

This is a position which offers the right person the chance to engage their skills across a wide range of fundraising, and marketing areas. You will help to manage and develop our existing donors and identify, research,and cultivate prospective new supporters, both individuals and trusts. Post:Fundraising and Marketing Manager (Part time)

Location:Home based (within UK) or an office in The Heath Business and TechnicalPark, Runcorn WA7 4XS

Purpose and

Objectives:To generate sustainable income from individuals,

grant-making trusts and general fundraising activities; working with CEO to implement theboth the fundraising and the marketing andcommunications strategy

Main Responsibilities

  1. To research new charitable trusts and other funding sources and to make applications to secure income
  1. To strengthen relationships with existing supporters ensuring their support is maximised
  1. To develop Kainos Community’s fundraising capacity through specific fundraising activities with an emphasis on raising unrestricted core income.
  1. To help develop and manage Kainos community’s Major Donor strategy; coordinating activities, networking and relationship-building between Kainos staff, trustees and potential major donors.
  1. To report on the progress of grants and fundraising activities against targets, compile statistics and maintain financial records as required.
  1. To keep timely and accurate records of all donor activities using the database and other methods as identified by the CEO
  1. To build new individual supporter relationships
  1. To help develop and support the PR programme for the charity
  1. To monitor the performance and develop content for the website
  1. To develop a variety of marketing materials suitable for both internal and external use.
  1. To deliver presentations about the charity to both large and small audiences
  1. To undertake any other tasks that may reasonably be regarded as appropriate for a role of this nature within a national organisation
  1. To attend training as required

Physical Conditions:The successful Post Holder can work from home in the UK,or at the HQ in Runcorn.

Remuneration:£30,000 per annum (negotiable) pro rata dependant upon experience

Hours of Work:The post has flexibility in the number of hours worked dependant upon the successful candidate.

Holiday Entitlement:33 days (incl. Bank Holidays) Pro Rata

Sick Pay:The Charity operates its own sickness policy.

Pension:A Stakeholder pension fund is available

Probationary Period:Appointments are made subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period of 6 months
