Introduces students to the art, aesthetics, and methods of glass working. This course covers the theory and techniques of blowing, fusing, casting, and cold working. A course fee is required.

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

·  Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Contemporary Glass Movement.

·  Demonstrate introductory proficiencies in the blowing, casting, fusing, and cold working of glass

·  Demonstrate basic presentational skills

Week 1: History of Glass

Week 2 – 4: Cold Working

Week 5 – 9: Blowing

Week 10 – 14: Casting, Fusing and Slumping

Week 15 & 16: Final Project & Presentational skills
