The Balanced Man Scholarship

Presented by: Sigma Phi Epsilon

The Balanced Man Scholarship is a scholarship that Sigma Phi Epsilon offers to incoming male freshman at Iowa State University. The scholarships will be awarded to the applicants who show the best overall aptitude in the areas that Sigma Phi Epsilon holds in high regard: scholastics, community service and extra-curricular activities. Monetary rewards for the scholarships consist of one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships. There is no obligation to join Sigma Phi Epsilon in order to receive or apply for the Balanced Man Scholarship.

If you are currently a male high school senior who will be attending Iowa State next fall, you can apply for the Balanced Man Scholarship by filling out the attached application and returning it to the address below by July 31st, 2017. After your application is received, our scholarship coordinators will review it. You will then be contacted by one of these coordinators in order to make arrangements for an interview.

If you feel there are additional comments exceeding the questions provided in the application to better merit why you should receive this scholarship, please attach one additional page to the provided application. Along with the completed application, it is requested that you provide a picture of you and friends having fun.
